Sunday 25th August 2013
Rond Terrace, Commonwealth Park East.
Starting at the large grassy area known as Rond Terrace in Commonwealth Park East, we will walk past Nerang Pool, continue towards Regatta Point and return via the Menzies Walk along the shores of Lake Burley Griffin. There are plenty of short cuts for anyone who needs them and lots of seats to admire the spectacular views of the nation’s capital.
Participants can choose either the 3.5 km or 2km walks – or the short, short cut.
The 3.5 km route takes approximately 1 hour to complete at a leisurely pace. The Walk is not a race and if participants wish to stroll along on only part of the course, that’s just fine. Just walk as far as you wish.
The entire route (3.5km and a 2km) is wheelchair and stroller/pram accessible.
