Walk distance
Participants can either choose the 4km or short course around the scenic Sydney Olympic Park precinct, including through the fantastic Sydney Athletics Centre. *subject to change
Marshalls will be stationed along the way and there will be signposts to guide walkers. The 4km route takes approximately 1 hour to complete at a leisurely pace. If participants wish to stroll the course or just walk a part of it, that’s just fine.

Parking
There are a number of public car parking spaces at Sydney Olympic Park. P1 is the parking station closest to the Registration area at Cathy Freeman Park (formerly The Overflow). For more information visit www.sydneyolympicpark.com.au.

Transport
The NSW Government will be offering FREE travel for participants travelling to and from the event on CityRail and CountryLink services and on Sydney metropolitan and outer metropolitan bus services.  THIS OFFER IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO PARTICIPANTS WHO REGISTER ONLINE.

In order to access free public transport you must present your official 2013 Parkinson's NSW Unity Walk and Run E-ticket as proof of participation.  This E-ticket is issued when you register online.

Participants travelling on CountryLink services whose journey may require travel on the day before or the day after the event, may still do so FREE OF CHARGE if they clearly identify to the ticket seller that they are participating in the event.  Your e-ticket will be your identification.

Need a lift to the Parkinson's Unity Walk? Parkinson's Unity Walk has partnered with CoCoRide.com.au to provide a 'ridesharing' service for active people. If you're planning on driving out to Sydney Olympic Park for the Parkinson's Unity Walk, you can share a ride by jumping on to the CocoRide website and registering as either a driver or a passenger. If you've got a car, you can take other walkers with you and share the cost of the petrol. It'll be a great way to meet likeminded people and reduce your carbon footprint.

Head to the Registration tent to have your name marked off and collect your t-shirt. You can also register to Walk on the day.

To celebrate our 6th Anniversary we have commissioned a special t-shirt for the event. The first 1500 Unity Walkers to register will receive this wonderful momento of the day.  SO REGISTER EARLY TO MAKE SURE YOU WILL RECEIVE ONE OF THESE SPECIAL SHIRTS.  REGISTRATIONS ON THE DAY MAY MISS OUT!  T-shirts will be issued on the day.

Companion Card
We are delighted to announce that the Parkinson’s NSW Unity Walk has partnered with Companion Card to offer people accompanying those with an OFFICIAL Companion Card, free entry into the Unity Walk. The accompanying person must be participating in the event with the disabled person. To benefit from this offer please enter your card ID, eg X123456789/00 into the online registration form. Your FREE ticket will then automatically be processed.
